Tocopheryl Acetate, thanks to its antioxidant activity, is included in most cosmetic formulations not only as a protective agent for the skin against the action of free radicals, but also to prevent the degradation of the other components of the formulation itself. In addition to protecting from UV rays, Tocopheryl Acetate keeps the skin smooth and soft, thanks to its contribution in limiting the loss of water from the epidermis and in preserving skin hydration.
• Ascorbyl Palmitate is a form of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and given the greater affinity for lipids, it quickly penetrates through the skin and cell membranes, where it exerts its antioxidant action, helping to prevent cellular aging, reducing the lipid peroxidation, the oxidation of cells and the degeneration of collagen, for the synthesis of which vitamin C plays a fundamental role. It is often used in association with vitamin E or its derivatives, with which it acts synergistically. +++
